I’m typing to you from my new laptop. =D

It’s an HP and a definite upgrade from my last one. Thanks to your input, I was able to know exactly what to look for, and what to expect. Thank you so much~

Okay, guys~ Thanks to the amazing Minumi and Remmy, I’ve found a few options for what to look into. (Also thanks to that person who commented about Toshibas. :) )

Here is a possible Toshiba, and a possible Samsung. I have plenty of other options, but I liked these two. Tell me what you think? :)

GUYS HALP.

I got my refund check, and I’m willing to pay up to $700 for a laptop, although it’d be fantastic if I didn’t have to pay that much. (And this is grant money, not loan money, so no worries there.)

But I have no clue what to do. I know I don’t want a Mac, because the Mac OS pisses me off. I know they’re pretty and sturdy compies, but I just … no, they don’t work for me. ;;; But pretty much every computer company I’ve asked about has gotten mixed reviews from the people I’ve talked to. I plan on doing more research online, but~

Does anyone have any good ideas for companies/brands for me?

I had around 350 journals, comments, and deviations to reply to in my inbox earlier today. And now I have 63, which are Lai and Puck’s deviations. I think I’ll leave them ‘til tomorrow because I’m really tired, but~ God, I feel accomplished! XD

I swear to god, I’m a computer. The more I clean stuff out and organize it, the calmer and more focused I get. ^^

I am gonna OCD all the fuck over you when I get back from mentoring today. Prepare your files to be obsessively organized. (Yes, even the little lurky random files. I mean it. T: )

The same goes for you, external harddrives. Actually, this warning is mostly for you. Just understand that this is all for your own good.

I ended up ordering the Western Digital harddrive, for two reasons: a) with the 10% discount I was able to get both the harddrive and a 1-year guarantee for $90, and b) my techie suitemate vouched for the brand.

Also, free 3-day shipping. I’m going home this weekend, so hopefully it’ll be in by then, and I’ll be able to take it back to the college with me.

It’s also 1 Terrabyte. I think I’ll name it Eliot. Why not? The rest of my tech is named after a character of mine. XP

Also, I leave for a few hours and suddenly New York has legalized gay marriage. All the most amazing stuff happens when I’m being social. ;;; And I can’t be online social right now ‘cause I have work at 6. But ILU guys. ♥

I am so done with dealing with my computer, you guys. Like, seriously. I regularly perform maintenance on it, and it just keeps getting worse. T: For some reason a little yellow bar is flashing at the top of the screen whenever I press the shift key now, and that REALLY pisses me off.

I need to get an external harddrive to stick everything on so I can totally reboot my computer or something, since my old one is full. I found a one Terrabyte one for $100, so I think I may get that. I guess we’ll see.

Until then, I guess I’ll have to continue struggling with this thing. T: It’s not surprising that it’s giving me trouble, since it’s 5-6 years old, but meh. T:

… woah. Just, woah. This is awesome. xD I’m not gonna question how or why that is in my computer, but I wholeheartedly approve.

So, you know that whole thing where I was going to draw two pictures today?

Yeah. My computer is failing so hardcore, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to post this. I think I might’ve gotten a virus, despite the fact that I scan for spybots, viruses, etc. every few days and haven’t actually been downloading much of anything.

I dunno. What this means is that every program crashes within fifteen minutes to a half hour of starting (including firefox, which made writing my 750 words today fun), and Sai seems to be refusing to work at all.

I dunno. I need to get a new computer anyway, so this doesn’t really come as a surprise. It’s an old beast anyway. I’ll do total maintenance on it tomorrow and hope something good comes of it.

In the meantime, I can’t even start Sai without it crashing on me, so … no pictures. T: Hrgh.
