Oh god, poor Fef. :( And, yeah, agreed, far too often I see nothing but fuss and blame being flung at her, the poor dear. It’s really good to read something like this.
People don’t really get that about Fef. Everyone whines about how she abandoned Eridan and was the cause of everything bad that happened, but come on. I’m sure this was something she’d been agonizing over for a very long time, and it’s probably something she still doesn’t feel that great about. But having someone you don’t have to treat like your child, someone who can both give and take … that’s what Feferi wanted, and what she got with Sollux. But then there’s Sollux’s relationship with Aradia, and Feferi still feels obligated toward and guilty about breaking her moirailship with Eridan.
I’ve been in a relationship like hers, and it’s agonizing. Moreover, did we all forget that Feferi is even higher on the hemospectrum than Eridan? Maybe if she had stayed with him, she would’ve been the one who killed him. IDK, stuff condemning the characters on one side or the other bothers me. Did we all also forget that they’re 13-year-old kids?! ;;;

Except, the ♦ on my profile is someone who would give me a quick slap in the face when I need it and not a friendly crush. Otherwise, yeah.
Also, you should add the difference between a relationship being “pale” and “flushed.” In my understanding, flushed is typically the term for the more intense relationships (i.e. matesprit and kismesis) and pale refers to those which are less intense (moirail and auspistice). I’ve also heard pale and flushed applied to all of the quadrants, so meh. (I’m probably wrong anyway.)
Moirail and auspistice are typically the platonic relationships, and kismesis and matesprit are certainly not platonic. Red=a positive relationship, black=negative, for the most part, although someone’s auspistice usually doesn’t hate either person involved. Usually.
♥ Matesprit= boyfriend, girlfriend, etc.
♦ Moirail= best friend you can’t live without.
♠ Auspistice= that person who’s friends with both you and the person you often argue with and who does their best to keep the peace/strengthen the relationship between you.
♠ Kismesis- the epitome of love/hate relationships, hateful rivalry with attraction mixed in.
I can personally say that I have many moirails- which, in my case, is definitely platonic. They’re the kind of people I find it hard to function without, and I give them all the support I can. You know who you are. ♦
