Let me start off by saying that I am well aware that as a whole, we have it a lot better than most places, but I wanted to clear up some stuff that people seem to assume about us. I don’t think non Americans are aware that we aren’t quite as privileged and dumb as we look. There is this image of a spoiled and stupid American on Tumblr that is mostly perpetuated by the middle class white kids that are littered all over the internet and their limited experience with their suburban communities.
Mod note: This one is kind of an attack! But I’m posting it anyway so we can laugh at how OP thinks they can dictate what creativity means and what other people can draw. Isn’t that cute?
i didnt know people still used comic sans
I can’t even take this seriously omg lmfao
So I don’t really care about the OP photo or anything but who is that Wrestler? He’s an attractive fellow.
so what the OP is saying here is that today I have the opportunity to piss off someone who hates it when artists goof around and have fun
awesome; will do
thanks for making me want to draw hamsteak OP
also sexy comic sans there
Good OP. Best idiot.
BRB, drawing Homestuck now. :>
I like how, despite my polite and actually earnest attempts to be nice about this point, there were still antagonizing posts from the admin who brought this up. It’s … disappointing, really, but I suppose everyone has their own opinions.
Problem being in this case that the opinion stated makes light of very real social issues, but what are you going to do?
Mod note: I queue everything that comes into the submissions box but this one was too good for me to not post immediately. It’s wonderful and feel-good.
Sometimes I will say my dislike of a pairing, but I will never go up to a fans face and tell them I dont like it directly aimed at them. Enjoy that pairing, I dont care if you like it. I dont know, I might be being a hypocrite for reblogging this but sigh.
Can’t see pic
[[ ♥♥♥ lol. sometimes i see things that scare me. i stop. laugh. go ‘lol ew what’ and scroll away. its ok. some people are just into things. chill. ]]
((I am 0k with all the ships))
Attention ENTIRE HOMESTUCK FANDOM: This the way you should be. :/ Srsly gaiz. SRSLY.
I apply this to all of the ships. ALL OF THEM. Meaning not just Homestuck. EVERYTHING. This is pretty much the ONLY good post on that blog. I hate unpopular opinion blogs. T:
Also, art belongs to Geromy, who’s getting a ridiculous amount of bullshit comments and flamings because of his Homestuck John-Karkat drawings. T:< Fandom, stop being a massive douche. People like what they like. Deal. With. It.
*EDIT* Herp a derp, sorry, art belongs to rasuzu. I apologize for that. I follow so many artists for Homestuck that all of the art runs together in my brain sometimes and I have trouble remembering whose is whose. ;_; That’s not saying that they all have the same styles, just that I follow a lot of people and tend to forget.
To be fair, I did post this at like 1:30 last night, so … forgive me? ;;;; However. The rest of the sentiment still stands. And what I said about Geromy getting bullshit remarks is still true.

Husbands and husbands. “You’re much alike”.
An adorable video of a little kid talking with a gay couple. Seeing such instant acceptance just goes to show how people are brainwashed into becoming homophobic rather than it being their natural state of being. Click here to read the story behind the video in Advocate magazine - gay.org.uk
“So that means you love each other.”
When he said, I just… Yes. That’s exactly what it means. A simple but true reason for marriage. :’)
I just … I just …
God, I want to hug that little boy. Or maybe not hug, because he’d think it was gross. XD Nah, I want to play ping-pong with that little boy. HRGGGGGH. Babies. ♥
The kind of people who find a problem with anything anyone says about anything and don’t even try to consider the other person’s point of view because they apparently believe they are always correct.
I don’t understand them.
I’m at least willing to accept other points of views, even if it may not seem that way.
Not everyone is inferior to you, you know. Some of us are actually other human beings with our own thoughts and opinions.
Just thought you should know.
TRAUMA WARNING FOR ABLEISM
Something I Feel Strongly About
I don’t know why I’m so passionate about advocating blood donations. I just am. I’m not exaggerating when I say I get emotional when people give bullshit excuses to not donate.
“I’m too lazy.”
While you’re sitting there being “too lazy to donate,” people are out there fighting to stay alive.
“I’m afraid of needles.”
While you let your petty fears of needle keep you from donating, people are out there fearing the idea of never being able to see another day with their family and friends.
“I don’t have time.”
While you can’t seem to find more time to donate, people out there are struggling to find more time to live.
Trust me, the people on the receiving end are going through a lot more than you are on the giving end, and you’re going to tell me that you’re not going to because you don’t feel like it?
1. i would be way more comfortable donating blood if blood donation places like the Red Cross actually took donations from gay men and trans people
2. way to shame people with real phobias of needles. they have extremely stressful experiences around needles! their phobia can seriously impair them, not just from donating blood to help others, but also from HELPING THEMSELVES. THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE WITH NEEDLES. but no, i guess they’re just “petty” and they should just get over it because ANYONE JUST CAN WILL THEMSELVES TO GET OVER A PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FEAR right? RIGHT? (THE ANSWER IS NO. SOME PEOPLE CAN, SOME PEOPLE CAN’T, AND THAT’S OKAY)
3. i legitimately do not have the time or energy to donate blood. when i’m not in school i’m resting. donating blood can be a stressful experience and i’m just not able to do it. i wish i did—i’ve donated before. but i don’t have time. that’s a valid reason not to donate blood! and you know what else is a valid reason not to donate blood? “i don’t want to donate blood!” some people just don’t want to! that’s ok!
if people are able and willing to donate blood, GOOD FOR THEM. but if they aren’t, or don’t want to, then GOOD FOR THEM. the world works both ways, OK?????
I like tattoos and piercings, but I’m terrified of getting shots and drawing blood. Like shaking, tensing, mamapleaseholdmyhand terrified. And if I have to see my blood drawn out, I might freak the fuck out. Yeah, I feel guilty about it since I’d like to donate, but everything Softie said.
I’ve tried donating blood. They told me that I can’t.
Same. My father and I have too-small veins in our arms, if that makes sense, and the people even had trouble finding one big enough under my knee- but since this was a college donation day, they didn’t want to take it from there. They told me that the veins might become large enough if I drink a lot, so I drank so much water in the week before a donation at my college that I was almost sick. Aaand nothing.
Ever think about what that means? If I get in a car crash or other accident where I need blood or some other liquid someday, I may DIE before they can find a large enough vein for them to input an IV. So don’t you DARE sit there and tell me I’m a loser or a wimp. I’ve wanted to donate blood since I was old enough to walk despite my physical lump-in-my-throat-shaking-hands phobia, but physically CANNOT. I’m SORRY that I can’t donate, but do not take that tone with me or others like me.
Oh, and another thing? I have many gay or trans friends here at the school who would donate their blood in a heartbeat. Instead of wasting your time rudiculing us, maybe you should do something useful like trying to do something about that.
Raging. Raging so hard right now. Because there are self-rightous assholes out there who won’t even pause a single moment to get to KNOW an artist and hear them out before ripping their stories apart, just because they don’t like some aspect of them.
I understand that everyone has a right to their own opinion, but … REALLY? Try considering for a single second that this is a PERSON you’re talking about- a person with their own emotions, who poured a lot of time into their art or stories, and who deserves your RESPECT because they are another living, breathing, feeling human being.
This isn’t some disembodied voice or art-making-machine over the internet. So take that realization that this is a REAL PERSON you’re talking about, and think before you speak. Because whether you realize it or not, what you say has an impact on a REAL person. You may hate what they’ve done, you may hate their art and their story and their themes, but FUCKING THINKING BEFORE YOU SPEAK. You have a right to your opinion, but do you have to be a dickwad about it? No, you don’t. And you probably will anyway, which is a shame. Because by being a total asshole, you’re making yourself into a hypocrite.
That is all. Until the person I’m talking about makes their next move, I will remain silent.
