Guardians of Childhood Problems:
Those of us who’ve been lucky enough to read the books have been posting about this often in the tags, but I guess people don’t … read … those posts?? Which seems strange.
It’s just annoying to go into the Guardians of Childhood tag and see this kind of stuff everywhere, especially when that particular tag updates relatively slowly, so let’s make this clear:
Fact #1: Jack Frost is not Nightlight.
The end of the third novel, Toothiana’s, has a little blurb saying that Jack Frost will appear in the next book. This clearly shows that they’re not the same person. Jack Frost is also referenced in a small picture in the Man in the Moon’s book in a little constellation next to the other Guardians, while Nightlight is a character in the book.
TL;DR they are simply not the same character. I totally understand why people would think that- they’re very similar, pale babies with issues and staffs- but they aren’t the same. (Also, Nightlight rarely speak, and Jack often seems to use speaking, to himself or others, as a way to prove he’s alive. At any rate, he talks a good amount.)
Fact #2: Katherine is not Pitch’s daughter.
Although it’s understandable that Katherine could be mistaken for Pitch’s daughter, the evidence clearly says she can’t be. I do understand- the incident with the locket in Bunnymund’s book (am I remember that right?) seems to hint at it, as well as some of Pitch’s comments.
However. Not only do we actually meet Pitch’s daughter for a brief second, but she is also referenced several times in the books as a full-grown woman. She and Katherine are in the same scene at the same time. Plus, it’s deeply hinted that Katherine is going to become another legendary figure, quite apart from what we know Pitch’s daughter to be. (I’m sorry, I’m trying to avoid too many spoilers.) Therefore, they are not the same person.
I do hope this helps. I also hope that someone actually … you know … reads this, and stops mis-tagging pictures of Pitch’s daughter as Katherine. Because that’s getting old fast. ;;;

I have a theory for Kingdom Hearts, and while it will definitely turn out to be false, it was something I thought I’d mention? It’s roiling around in my brain, and I need some sort of outlet. It’s somewhat dumb, but whatever.
